SLIM AARONS
“El Venero”
reimagined
Marbella
THROUGH SLIM AARONS LENS
Few photographers have captured the glamour of leisure and the
elegance of aspirational living quite like Slim Aarons. Known for
immortalizing the jet set elite from the 1950s through the 1980s,
Aarons famously described his work as “photographing attractive
people doing attractive things in attractive places.” Among his most
iconic images is “El Venero”, taken in the 1960s in Marbella—a
photo that has come to symbolize the timeless charm, social scene,
and golden-hour glow of life on the Costa del Sol. El Venero
conveys the feeling of effortless elegance, sun-drenched leisure,
and a sense of understated exclusivity. It’s a photo that has come to
define an era, and in many ways, still defines what Marbella stands
for today.
The Marbella Lifestyle
At Homerun Brokers, we’re passionate about that
feeling—and about what Marbella represents. The
lifestyle here is unique. It’s relaxed yet refined, global
yet grounded, timeless yet always evolving. That’s what
we live and breathe every day, and it’s what we bring to
life through the content we create.
So when it came time to shoot the cover of our latest
Marbella guide, we knew exactly what we wanted
to do: pay tribute to an icon, and at the same time,
celebrate everything that makes the Marbella lifestyle
unique.
